Playing with Gold

Gold jewelry is an eternal style staple and an excellent investment that should be passed down through generations and prized for its longevity. Presently, the gold chain necklace is having a major moment. I’ve pulled together a handful of my favorite pieces below and shared different ways to style them. When layering necklaces, make sure there is a length difference between each strand so that they stand out from one another and avoid getting tangled.

Mix Metals! The more the merrier. Mixing metals gives a rich look, especially when you stack yellow gold with platinum or rose gold with white gold. I prefer to mix metals in ring form and tend to wear a gold wedding band with platinum band or engagement ring.

Outfit idea: Throw on your favorite worn in or vintage jeans, a black or white tee and loafers. Get your layering game on with a few gold chains or a choker. Add a mix of delicate and chunky gold bracelets in addition to colorful beaded strands for a summery feel.

These are vintage or hand me down pieces that I wear almost everyday. I pair the snake chain (2nd from left) and round link chain (bottom) together, and the round choker on its own. The rolled rope chain bracelet (center) is very old and my absolute favorite that I layer up with a new personalized beaded stack. Photo below.
